128-bit Encryption for your Privacy
If you encounter a message saying that your browser does not support
128-bit encryption then you will need to upgrade your internet browser. This
is a simple 3 minute process.
The OPSIS Caselink interface uses 128-bit data encryption to ensure your privacy.
All PC's with Microsoft Windows supplied nowadays incorporate this technology.
The following internet browsers and operating systems should already be configured
to work with 128-bit encryption: Internet Explorer 5.00 and above, Netscape
4.x and above, and AOL 5 and above on Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME,
Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Anything earlier than this may not work and will
require upgrading.
Perhaps you have got the following message.......

To upgrade your version of Internet Explorer to use 128-bit encryption perform
the following steps:-
- Start Internet Explorer
- Click Help, then click About Internet Explorer
- You should see a pop-up window similar to the following screenshot:

- It is likely that the Cipher Strength shows as "40-bit"
(if it already shows Cipher Strength of 128-bit then your browser already
supports this level of encryption). To upgrade to the newer encryption version
click the link labelled Update Information. This will take
you to the Microsoft web site where you can download the High Encryption Pack,
or alternatively click the following link http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/128bit/default.asp.
Simply follow the instructions provided on the download page - basically they
are as follows:-
- Choose the appropriate download link for your operating system and current
Internet Explorer browser version.
- The download is a small file (around 250k) so you can choose to Run
or Open directly rather than Save it to
disk. This will install the required upgrade in about 1 minute.
- When complete you will be asked to reboot your computer.
- After you have rebooted your computer just go back to the OPSIS Caselink
interface and this time you should get the proper login screen.
